Open land, long perimeters, half-built structures, stacked materials: on a large site a single officer can only ever see one corner at a time. Intruders know it, and they use the ground against you.
A dog changes the equation. It hears and scents what no officer or camera can, it covers ground fast, and its presence alone turns most intruders straight back at the fence. NVC deploys handler and dog as a single trained team, on regular patrols, overnight cover or rapid clearance when an intrusion is suspected.
A visible dog unit on the gate or the perimeter ends most attempts before they start.
Scent and hearing find intruders that cameras and torchlight miss, in any weather.
A dog team sweeps and clears a large site far faster than officers on foot.
